                                       Kalra Math Educator in CPS

STEM EDUCATOR AND FACILITATOR
Hello, I am Ajay Kalra, thanks for visiting my site.

I welcome you and would like to introduce myself

I am happy to share in your learning process, and I am anxious to hear any concerns you might have with developing your math skills.  Since each student brings diverse backgrounds and experiences to our classes, and perhaps may have struggled in previous math courses, I will be encouraging each of you to share your thoughts and ideas with one another.  I will also be here to help you understand the concepts and apply them to your chosen field of study and occupation.

I have been involved in the field of Math education continuously for 16 years as a Math Educator.

I have been teaching /facilitating math courses ranging from pre-algebra level to advanced calculus level at High schools/community colleges/Universities. I also had an opportunity to teach college algebra to US MARINES STATIONED IN US EMBASSY IN NEW DELHI

I earned Master’s degree in Mathematics from prestigious school (University of Delhi) in New Delhi. I did my math teaching certification program from NATIONAL LOUIS UNIVERSITY IN CHICAGO and completed MASTER OF ONLINIE Teaching (MOT) from University of Illinois (URBANA).

I was one of the 37 teachers selected by CHICAGO BOARD OF EDUCATION (Third largest school system in USA) from all over the world under GLOBAL EDUCATOR OUTREACH (GEO) program.

Currently I am in Michigan State University’s “MSU-URBAN  STEM  leadership and fellowship” program which is immensely helping me to incorporate STEM in my math instructional strategies  and methods  to motivate students to take more courses in Science and Technology and be ready for present and future job opportunities.

My experience has led me to a strong understanding of all of the different learning styles and needs of students, and my job is to help you identify and use your particular style in developing your math skills.
